After buying my Canon 7D and with a short film in preproduction, I decided to build a DSLR shoulder rig. Buying was definitely out of the picture, with the incredibly high cost of this devices in their ‘pro’ version. Besides, I felt that it couldn’t be that complicated to make. It turned out not hard, but extremely slow. I had to look around for ages to find pieces that had the exact dimensions and holes I was looking for, since I have access to almost no tools and absolutely nothing to cut or drill metal. Cheesycam, a blog dedicated to DIY video and photography projects gave me many ideas and was really helpful while designing this.
Today I found out that I had been chosen winner of the Audiojungle video contest. Awesome prices. Envato is hosting two more contests right now so I suggest you check them out!
